Assembly Health is hiring a remote Revenue Cycle Account Manager to support its behavioral health client base. The role sits between the company's RCM operations and its physician clients, owning the relationship and the financial results that come out of it.
Day to day, you'll be the primary contact for a book of behavioral health providers — running performance reviews, explaining reimbursement trends and regulatory shifts, and staying ahead of problems before clients raise them. Account activity and escalations are tracked in Salesforce.
On the performance side, you'll watch the numbers that determine whether a client stays: days sales outstanding, denial rate, AR aging, and net collections. When those move the wrong way, you'll diagnose why and build an action plan, coordinating with internal billing, coding, and collections staff to unblock claims, resolve payer disputes, and clean up posting or follow-up gaps. You'll also help onboard new clients and contribute to workflow and automation improvements across the team.
The position reports to the Behavioral Health RCM leadership team.
What You'll Need
5+ years in revenue cycle management, medical billing, or healthcare account management, with direct behavioral health experience (mental health and substance use)
3+ years supervising staff and owning workflow oversight
Bachelor's in healthcare administration, business, or comparable professional experience
Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding, insurance verification, and payer reimbursement
Hands-on experience with RCM platforms (CollaborateMD or similar), payer portals, and reporting tools
CRM experience, ideally Salesforce
Comfort with financial reporting, data analysis, and KPI tracking
Familiarity with ASAM and LOCUS level-of-care billing criteria is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
$70,000–$90,000 base, with actual placement depending on experience, qualifications, and location. Bonus eligibility, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO included.
